#TasteyTuesday: Vegan Breakfast with Treeline Cheese and Gardein

I like to change up what is cooked for breakfast for my family. Typically, I eat a bowl of oatmeal after a banana and tea. However, this morning, I decided to make a full breakfast. I used Treeline Cheese for the spread on my bagel and Gardein for my meat-free sausage patties. In my Vegan Lasagna recipe, I used Treeline cheese and it gave my lasagna the right creamy, cheesy texture that I needed to mimic ricotta cheese. Their cheese has become a staple on my monthly grocery list. Unfortunately, they only ever have two of their flavors at my local Kroger: Herb-Garlic flavor and Scallion Flavor.

I prepared my bagel by spreading dairy and soy free butter on it, then toasting it in a 400 degree oven for about 5-8 minutes. While it was in the oven, I fried my sausage in a pan skillet with coconut oil. While they were cooking, I took out my spinach and chopped up an onion. After removing the sausages and transferring them to a paper towel to rest, I sautéed the spinach and onion. The bagel received a spread of the Treeline cheese, then I cut up my fruit (mango and Granny Smith apple).

The coconut oil enhanced the flavors of the Gardein patties and helped to give them a nice crunch around the edges. I don’t like soggy sausage patties. The Treeline cheese on the bagel was so clutch! It paired well with the sweetness of the mango. I think I see a cheese and fruit platter coming up!!

Please try the cheese and sausage patties for your next breakfast and use the Contact Page to let me know your thoughts!

What did you have for breakfast thing morning? Let me know in the comments.
