3 Simple Steps On How To Balance And Heal Your Third Chakra

Solar Plexus Mantra: “I DO”

In total, there are seven chakras. They are said to be the source of where all energy flows through the body. It is said that blocked energy can lead to imbalances in life and illnesses. The third chakra is located where the diaphragm rests. The solar plexus, the third chakra, is all about the perception of who you are, your self-esteem and willpower. Therefore, it is all about the ability to be confident and in control of one’s life. Chakras are balanced through food choices, daily choices and rituals/routines. Here are 3 simple steps on how to balance and heal the third chakra, the solar plexus.

Positive Affirmations

The third chakra (solar plexus) is fundamentally about personal power — self-esteem. After recognizing that there is an imbalance in the solar plexus, implementing daily positive affirmations will aid in building that confidence. Also, visualization techniques to accommodate the process will further manifest desired outcomes. Positive affirmations can be said aloud while completing other actions, such as showering, exercising, cleaning and more! Start out saying positive affirmations while looking in the mirror to speak to your higher self.

Rituals/Routines

The third chakra (solar plexus) is associated with fire or energy. It has a connection with the sun, light and all of the above. The sun has the ability to regulate your mood! Always step outside into the sun!

Always listen and honor the gut, inner voice. Express your emotions comfortably and openly. Never make it a habit to not express yourself. Find the authentic self and embrace individuality.

When asserting your power, wear essential oils such as rosemary and lemon grass. Place the oil on the solar plexus and wrists. Inhale the oil blend and feel it affirming clarity, confidence, and power.

Personally, I love lemongrass in my tea with slices of raw ginger. In my juices, I love to put ginger and turmeric in them as well. As mentioned in my first What I Eat In A Day post, I put cinnamon in my oatmeal, which are two foods for the solar plexus. I have positive affirmations that help me to stay focused on the development of the power within myself and regulating my own emotions. On occasion, I do forget to go out and get sun, but my fiancée helps me with that. I think he does that more for himself because he is the first person that experiences my attitude on a daily basis 🙂 . I keep rosemary essential oil in my house. The scent is like home to me because my late grandmother used to do the same.

Every decision that I make for my households meals, activities, daily rituals, and conversations are intentional.
